Former Democrat National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile played the race card when discussing the DNC environment prior to the presidential election — and how the Democrats must have cringed.
Their traditional fallback argument, the one that gets pulled out any time a white conservative questions any liberal conclusion, was being thrown back in their faces.
While appearing on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday promoting her new book, “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns that Put Donald Trump in the White House,” Brazile suggested that she felt like a slave to failed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
In an interview with host George Stephanopoulos, Brazile alleged that Clinton’s top aides disrespected her and deprived the DNC of much-needed funding for voter turnout operations.
“Yeah, I’m not Patsey the slave because I got sick and tired of people telling me how to spend money when all I was trying to do — I wasn’t getting a salary, I was basically volunteering my time — and what I was trying to do, George, was to increase the level of enthusiasm and passion for Hillary Clinton and the rest of the ticket all across the country,” Brazile said.
The comment appeared to refer to the movie “Twelve years a Slave,” which included a horribly abused character named Patsey — and it definitely got Brazile’s message across.
Brazile didn’t hold back when discussing other problems she encountered with leadership at the DNC, comparing the overall emotional toll of the experience to that of a natural disaster.
You can bet Clinton is not happy that Brazile is speaking her mind about the noxious atmosphere of the DNC. But conservatives could help but enjoy the moment.
A defiant Brazil said she was going to tell her side of the story regardless of how uncomfortable it might make others.
“For those who are telling me to shut up, they told Hillary that a couple months ago. You know what I tell them? Go to hell. I’m going to tell my story,” Brazile said.
And what a story it is.
From Team Clinton essentially practicing extortion on the Democratic Party to the campaign’s rigging the Democratic primary election to ensure Hillary Clinton’s nomination, Brazile’s story paints an ugly portrait of Democrats.
Apparently, the party is not “stronger together,” as Clinton would have everyone to believe.
When Clinton made a political movement out of demonizing white people, she set herself up to fail when confronted by someone of another race.
Who would have ever guessed that person would be Brazile?
Brazile is certainly no angel, but her revelations about the Clinton campaign and the DNC confirmed what many Americans have suspected for a long time: That the Democratic Party is run by a bunch of corrupt, power-hungry politicians — with Clinton at the helm.
